Questions We’re Afraid to Ask #22
I would venture to guess, with much confidence, that there is not a single one of us who would not have an answer to this one. We have all done something, at one time or another, that we are not proud of. It’s only human.
The issue comes when we’re unable to let go of whatever it was we did and, as a result, allow that one incident to haunt us well into the future.
Tony Robbins once said . . .
If you live in the past, there is no future. If you continue to live in the past, you end up punishing yourself and those around you.
Is there something in your past that you are not proud of? Are you allowing it to affect how you think of yourself even now? Are you allowing it to affect your relationship with another person or other people? Are you allowing it to hold you back from doing things you know need to be done or may help you move forward in life? Is it too difficult for you to even think about . . . at least consciously? Is it overshadowing the many things you’ve done that you should be proud of?
Perhaps it’s time to put the past behind you and move on. After all, the past doesn’t even exist anymore.
